Is QuietRock a good DIY weekend project?
The board hangs like drywall. The result depends on layout, fasteners, and sealed edges. For a party wall you care about, hire it.
Does it cost more than regular drywall?
Yes, per sheet. You are paying for a damping core, not a standard gypsum panel. Ask for a line-item quote.
Can HOA or condo rules block this?
Sometimes, if you change a shared assembly. Check before we schedule a party wall.
