Drywall Finishing in Pebble Beach, CA

Texture match or a true smooth wall. We tape, coat, and finish Pebble Beach homes from Fairfield — knockdown, orange peel, skip trowel, Level 4, or Level 5. A Lodge-area view room next to a rebuild kitchen will show if we guess the pattern.

Pebble Beach Finishing, Fairfield Crew

Ron Hogan Drywall has been family-owned since 1970. We are based in Fairfield, not a 17-Mile Drive storefront. This page is drywall finishing and drywall texture in Pebble Beach, CA — Del Monte Forest, the Lodge area, Spanish Bay, Spyglass, Country Club, Poppy Hills, and streets near 17-Mile Drive, Cypress Drive, and Portola Road.

Text “Pebble Beach” with the photo. If the scope is hang-and-finish or a real texture match, we schedule it — including gate access.

Finishing We Do in Pebble Beach

Tape, mud, and sand

Joints and fasteners coated the right number of times. This is the work under every texture and every smooth wall.

Texture match

A kitchen, addition, or rebuild that has to look like the plaster, knockdown, or orange peel already in the house — including Lodge estates and interior forest homes. Textures →

Level 4 smooth

The usual painted wall under flat or eggshell in normal light. Most bedrooms and hallways live here.

Level 5 skim

Full-field skim for ocean glass, dark paint, higher sheen, or a 17-Mile Drive room with hard sidelight off the Pacific. Framing has to be straight first. Level 4 & 5 →

Popcorn off, new finish on

Remove older ceiling texture on mid-century forest stock, repair the board, then knockdown, orange peel, or smooth. Less common than inland ranch towns — still a real Del Monte Forest scope. Popcorn removal →

Repair that disappears

Water cuts, holes, and cracks finished to the surrounding texture. Occupied houses and second homes included. Repair →

Which Texture Belongs on a Pebble Beach Wall

Finish Use it when Skip it when
Match existing Kitchen, addition, or rebuild meeting a Lodge-area estate, a Spanish Bay unit, or a Poppy Hills forest house The whole house is going smooth on purpose
Knockdown Mid-century forest rooms or framing that will not go flat without a rebuild A modern smooth spec or a fine later orange peel
Orange peel Builder texture already on later interiors and some Spanish Bay units You are matching historic plaster or a factory-flat view-room kitchen
Skip trowel / old world Hand pattern already in a custom estate near Cypress Drive or 17-Mile Drive You need a factory-flat wall
Level 4 Smooth, normal light, flat or eggshell — most interior forest rooms Dark paint and side light will rake the joints — common under ocean glass and Lodge-area sun
Level 5 A view room, ocean glass, dark color, higher sheen, or hard sidelight off the Pacific The studs wave. A skim follows the framing — common on original mid-century forest stock

Lodge and 17-Mile Drive vs Spanish Bay vs Interior Forest

Pebble Beach is an unincorporated Monterey County community inside Del Monte Forest — ZIP 93953, 17-Mile Drive, Cypress Drive, Portola Road, Spanish Bay, Spyglass, and Poppy Hills. It is not Pacific Grove and it is not one wall spec. Lodge-area and coastal rooms take ocean glass and hard Pacific light. Spanish Bay mixes condos and custom houses. Interior forest and Huckleberry Hill rooms sit under pines with a different light. Those rooms do not take the same spec.

The usual mismatch is new board in a kitchen meeting an older estate texture — or a Level 4 wall under dark paint and west light. Ocean glass will show cheap taping the first afternoon the sun hits the wall. Occupied houses and second homes need dust control. Gate access is part of the schedule. Matching the house still beats a trend texture in one room.

Send a wide shot and a shot in side light. That photo decides match vs Level 4 vs Level 5 faster than a ZIP code.

Pebble Beach Finishing FAQs

Do you do drywall finishing in Pebble Beach?

Yes. Pebble Beach finishing from our Fairfield shop — texture match, Level 4, Level 5, popcorn removal, and repair blend in 93953.

Can you match orange peel or knockdown on a remodel?

Yes. That is the usual Pebble Beach request when a kitchen meets a Lodge-area estate, a Spanish Bay unit, or a Poppy Hills forest house. Photos in side light first.

Do I need Level 5 in Pebble Beach?

Often yes in view rooms with ocean glass, dark paint, higher sheen, or hard sidelight off the Pacific. Eggshell in a soft-lit forest bedroom is usually Level 4. Original mid-century framing often cannot take a Level 5 promise.

Can you skim old texture to smooth?

Often yes, if the board is sound. Old knockdown to Level 5 is more work than finishing new board. View-room glass makes a cheap skim obvious.

Do you work in occupied Pebble Beach houses?

Yes. We protect floors and contain dust. A whole-house skim is still a dusty job — plan rooms. Second homes and gated access are part of the schedule.

Do you work near 17-Mile Drive, Spanish Bay, and Poppy Hills?

Yes. The Lodge area, Spanish Bay, Spyglass, Country Club, Poppy Hills, Huckleberry Hill, and streets near 17-Mile Drive, Cypress Drive, and Portola Road are on the same finishing page. Text the street with the photos.

How much does drywall finishing cost in Pebble Beach?

It follows the finish, the square footage, and whether we match texture or skim. Photos first. Written scope — no hidden fees.

Are you licensed in California?

Yes. CSLB #265709. Look it up before you book us or anyone else.
